Requesting a document review in Cognidox is a structured process that allows users to gather feedback from colleagues efficiently. This feature is particularly useful for documents such as press releases, policies, or technical reports that require input before finalization.

Steps to Request a Review

Select a Document:

Identify the document that requires a review.

If needed, upload a new draft version of the document.

Add Reviewers:

Choose users from the available list and add them as reviewers.

If a mistake is made, remove a reviewer by selecting their name and clicking the remove button.

Provide Review Instructions:

Enter specific instructions in the reviewer comments box.

Define the expected turnaround time for feedback.

Copy Reviewers on Replies (Optional):

Check the box to enable all reviewers to be copied on each other’s responses.

Consider the trade-off between transparency and email volume.

Send Notifications (Optional):

Apart from reviewers, other users can be notified about the review process.

Notifications inform recipients about the review but do not require them to provide feedback.

Submit the Review Request:

Click on the "Add Draft" button to finalize the request.

Cognidox will upload the draft and send email notifications to reviewers.

Track Review Status:

Navigate to the document details page to view the number of pending reviews.

Cancel a Review:

If necessary, cancel a review request from the document details page.

Add Additional Reviewers:

Use the action sidebar to add more reviewers at any time if someone was missed initially.
