Learn how to use your briefcase to access important documents quickly

The Briefcase in Cognidox is your personal, temporary working area.
It’s useful for gathering documents you want to review offline, batch edit, or simply organize for a project.

How to Access Your Briefcase

There are two ways to find your briefcase:

  • From the User Menu (click your username at the top and select My Briefcase)

  • From your User Page, where the Briefcase link also shows how many documents or categories are currently inside.

Adding Items to Your Briefcase

You can add items in two main ways:

  1. From a Search

    • Perform a search to find documents.

    • Click the Add to Briefcase shortcut next to any document you want to include.

  2. From a Category

    • Navigate to a category containing documents you need.

    • Add either individual documents or the entire category to your briefcase.

Once added, your briefcase will show:

  • Individual documents you've picked

  • All documents within any categories you've added
