Inside the Exported Spreadsheet
When you open the downloaded file:
-
Each page of the document has its own worksheet/tab in the Excel file.
-
Notes are numbered for easy reference.
-
Preview images are included to visually match notes to their document location.
-
Note text and authorship information are clearly listed alongside each annotation.
Using Offline Notes Effectively
The offline notes file is especially useful when:
-
You have checked out the master file and are working on updates.
-
You don't have continuous internet access but need to reference feedback.
-
You prefer a side-by-side workflow, with the master file open in one window and the notes spreadsheet open in another.
This method ensures you can accurately apply all review feedback without needing to switch constantly between the document preview and the master file.
Quick Tips
-
Always export the latest notes after all reviewers have completed their input.
-
Use the preview images to quickly locate notes within the master document.
-
Cross-check each worksheet as you update the document to ensure no feedback is missed.
