Understanding User Groups in Cognidox
Creating LMS user groups for trainingUser groups are different from role groups:
-
A role group assigns a set of document-related rights (user roles) to any users in those role groups; A user can only belong to one role group, since it defines everything that user can do.
-
A user group is simply a collection of users, often grouped by function, such as "Full-time employees", "HR staff", "Fire Safety Training Group", or "Marketing department". A user can belong to more than one user group, as they might have multiple functions within an organisation.
