Managing category licenses

Apply licenses and Extranet-specific options to entire categories for streamlined access control

You can apply licenses to entire categories, useful for avoiding accidental access (e.g. when licensee names appear in folder paths).

  1. Navigate to the category.

  2. Click Manage This Category and go to the Extranet tab.

  3. Configure options:

    • Extranet Name: Alternate name seen only on the Extranet.

    • Description: Text visible to licensees.

    • Keywords: Search tags.

    • Hide Category: Prevents access regardless of licensing.

    • Licensing: Apply a license to the entire category.

Use this feature carefully, as it can create support confusion if customers cannot see expected documents.
