Viewing document access logs and setting up notifications

Cognidox provides tools to monitor when licensees have accessed documents on the Extranet. You can view access logs directly from a document’s details page, and set up watchers to be notified when a document is downloaded.

 

Viewing who accessed a document

  1. Open the document details page for the file in question.

  2. In the Action Panel, under the Extranet group, select:
    “Do customers who have downloaded this document in the past 180 days?”

  3. A table will appear listing licensees who accessed the document.

  4. Click Details to see which contact downloaded the file and when.

Setting up access notifications

  1. From the document details page, go to the Extranet group.

  2. Select “Watch this document on the Extranet”.

  3. On the next page, check the box for Customer Downloads.

  4. Click Set Watchers to begin receiving notifications.

You’ll now receive an email whenever a licensee contact accesses the document, along with the date, time, and identity of the user.
