To specify the number of characters in a password, case sensitivity, and so on, use the MySQL Password plugin.

In brief, the instructions are as follows:
- Display the Cognidox homepage and choose Manage Cognidox from the menu.
- Display the Settings & Configuration tab and click on the Plugins link.
- Open the MySQL Password Plugin and scroll down to the options starting with Minimum password length.
- Set up the options to suit your requirements (click the help icons to see a description for each field).
- Scroll down and click Set Configuration.
