Linking Categories in Cognidox

Overview of Linking Categories for Enhanced Navigation

This article explains how to set up links between related categories. This can help ensure that users store documents in the correct sub-category.

Note:

  • You can link one category to multiple categories
  • Add help text to clarify links for end users
  • Links are one-way; reverse links are not created automatically

To link from one category to another:

  1. Display the category and click Manage this Category.
  2. Display the Linked Categories tab, set up one or more links to other categories, and click Set Linked Categories.

To remove a link:

  1. Display the source category and click Manage this Category.
  2. Display the Linked Categories tab, click the cross icon next to the destination link you want to remove, and click Set Linked Categories.
