How to upload documents using drag and drop

Cognidox offers an efficient alternative to uploading documents manually by allowing users to drag and drop files directly from their computer. This method simplifies the document management process while maintaining flexibility for draft and issue uploads.

Single File Upload

  1. Navigate to a Cognidox document part number.

  2. Drag the file from your file system onto the Cognidox page.

  3. Choose whether to upload the file as a Draft or Issue.

  4. Add reviewers (if needed) and add the version.

Uploading Multiple Files Simultaneously

  1. Select multiple files from your computer (e.g., a Word document and a PDF).

  2. Drag and drop them onto the Document Details page.

  3. Choose Draft or Issue.
    After confirmation, Cognidox will treat the Word document as the master file and the PDF as its preview.

  4. Add reviewers (if needed) and add the version.
